Specialties & Therapeutic Style

addiction recovery | anxiety | trauma & PTSD | relationship issues

As human beings, we all face difficult seasons of life. It is my intention as a therapist to sit with my clients in a way that fosters growth, healing, and empowerment. I am professionally trained in somatic psychotherapy, and this is the foundation for my work. Somatic psychotherapy is a holistic approach that incorporates the mind, body, and spirit in treatment. At the same time, I believe it is important to incorporate other modalities to meet the specific needs of my clients, so I also draw from mindfulness-based, compassionate, and humanistic approaches. I provide a direct and non-judgmental container for my clients to take a deep dive into their feelings and experiences to support their healing. The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative one, so I encourage my clients to join me in navigating the direction that is best for them and their goals.

Couples Therapy

co-dependency | infidelity | communication issues

Solidify your relationships foundation on trust, co-regulation, & communication

Somatic therapy with couples is powerful in learning how to emotionally regulate yourself in partnership. A lack of trust can cause each individual in the partnership to become activated or shut down when together. When you are in a conflict with your partner, it triggers a stress response in the body. This makes it very difficult to pick the right words, and have an effective conversation. My goal is to help you learn to emotionally regulate yourself when you are with your partner, build trust back, and improve your communication skills to strengthen your relationship. Currently becoming Gottman Couples Therapy certified.

I am passionate about supporting couples as they learn how to feel safe in being vulnerable with one another. I truly believe deepening awareness through a somatic approach, learning to actively listen, and communicate more effectively can drastically improve any relationship.
